Is it a bird….

Not quite! But this beautifully designed Kite table and chair from designer Steuart Padwick is named after the bird with its incredible wingspan. Whilst the bird is agile the table is extremely versatile with an opened length of 2.6m

When closed in’kitchen mode’ the top is protected with a durable black laminate but when opened up, a beautiful walnut veneered surface is revealed for fine dining.

The stacking Kite chair -designed to complement the dining table – is extremely comfortable and a future design classic in its own right.

To Tilt or not to Tilt…?

Steuartlogolong

“I wanted to create a more sculptural and tactile piece of furniture in wood, expressing real craftsmanship.”    Steuart Padwick

Developed for Heals’ ReDiscovers, award winning designer Steuart Padwick’s LapTilt is a small laptop desk with a hidden taper on the base enabling it to tilt forward. This makes using a laptop so much better when sitting on a sofa.

To Tilt or not to Tilt…
Due to clever geometry the desk only tilts when you want it to and naturally reverts to the upright position.

A contemporary piece of furniture for the modern home, LapTilt is a fun yet sculptural piece. With a solid turned beech base, it offers a simple white3 lacquered post and top. Combining forward looking design approach with fine craftsmanship, LapTilt is all about innovation in function, technique and form with softened corners, radiused edges and contrasting finishes.

When not in use as a desk, the LapTilt doubles as a side table, making it an ideal solution for the space conscious.
