Stylish neutrals from Paris Ceramics

Neutrals have never had so much style!

The earthy tones and silver accents of this Pierre du Mont stone make these handsculpted flagstones from Paris Ceramics one of the most characterful stone floors on the market.

Pierre du Mont is a newly quarried stone that has the patina of antique, reclaimed stone but without any of the challenges of sourcing and re-using a one-off floor.

Not only are these classic tiles the perfect foil for both a contemporary and traditional décor, they are highly practical and hardwearing too.

How to incorporate stone into your home

De ferranti logo

Stone can be a real statement material and can help to add a sense of grandeur to a room. With it’s durable and hard-wearing properties, it’s the perfect choice for contemporary interiors.

Stone specialist, Alvaro De Ferranti of De Ferranti recently spoke to Utopia Kitchen & Bathroom Magazine on how to incorporate stone around the home.

“Be adventurous, try combining stone with glass and rivershell, or perhaps combining stone with pieces of metallic or mirror glass – mixed materials can be really aesthetically pleasing. A lot of people think you have to put stone with stone, but it’s just not the case; stone works well with so many materials.”

Made in the UK by Paris Ceramics

Isn’t it great to find that some things are still made at home? In rich earthy hues, this exciting new collection of tiles from Paris Ceramics is lovingly handmade by an English artisan, using clay from Stoke on Trent. The appeal of these handmade stoneware tiles is that even the maker doesn’t know how the reactive glaze will turn out.

“It goes a bit darker where the glaze is thickest and lighter where the glaze is thinner”, he explains “The variation is truly beautiful and makes each tile unique.”

Although Paris Ceramics’ artisans can’t exactly control the colourway of each and every tile, they do allow customers to specify tiles that have more green (top row) or more blue (bottom row).
